Obviously this is a game for Star Wars, but I've recently opened up a Shapeways shop that may be of your interest.
1:3900 scale Star Trek models from the TMP-era. Each one comes in either a 3mm stud for Magnets or a FlightPath system peg for X-Wing / Attack Wing. All the Canon ships for the era are there as well as a bunch of FASA-style and Interplay (from Klingon Academy or Starfleet Command) are there, too.McKinley Station
I'll be rounding out a few more Federation designs and doing paneled versions for all the Klingons (as opposed to the Smooth versions that are currently up). I'll then be moving on to Romulan and other TMP-era races from SFB like Gorn, Kzinti/Mirak and Tholians.
New Arc System!
Hey folks,As you may have noticed, I've revamped the arc system pretty significantly. This is all by way of me starting to make way to integrate KDY with Tabletop Simulator. All the official arcs are there (tolerances are within 1/8-inch and 5-or-so degrees). I did the best I could without breaking everything. I hereby call this "good enough". All the ships are currently re-rendering, so please be patient. I would recommend that folks do a cache-less refresh if something looks funny (I think that's CTRL+SHIFT+R in chrome, for example). If you run into any issues, let me know and I'll see what I can do to resolve it.As for your designs, have a look through, just to make sure my conversions didn't break anything too badly. I'm not going to lie: coming up with a conversion schema was a pain in the ass - I did the best I could. Chances are you may find an arc that is more suited to what you want. I've also changed the layout of the ship edit page to, hopefully, be a bit easier to deal with (squadron and stations are next).
Web-host OS upgrade
Had a bit of a hiccup with my web-host. They upgraded to a new OS and I needed to scramble to get a new version of the rendering software I use to output the card images. All should work fine now. Sorry for the inconvenience. In other news, I'm moving house soon, so I'm still going to be a bit behind, but once I get settled I plan on finally sitting down and getting back on track with KDY v2.
Tabletop Simulator Utilities
Just as an FYI for those who want to bring things into Tabletop Simulator, I've created a collection of resources for Armada: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=897127367
it has all the dice and defense tokens from KDY.
I've altered how defense tokens work as far as the various colors.
The Green/Red combo works as you expect.
The Blue/Yellow combo works like this: Blue gets flipped when used. Yellow gets discarded when used. Yellow is NOT refreshed to blue when vanilla tokens do. It's a two-time use type deal. Maybe new upgrades will let you refresh them, but for now they're just two-shots.
The Orange token gets discarded when used. It's a one-time use thing.
The Future of KDY
Time for a peak behind the curtain a little.KDY started off as a way for me to develop my own cards for Armada. I felt like sharing, so I did. I'm plodding around with a few ideas about what to do with it next that isn't just iterative versions. I've gotten a handful of requests to start supporting other games, like X-wing and Firestorm Armada. I've also been kicking around a few ideas for game engines of my own.To that end, KDY v2 is being worked on slowly, in my spare time. It's going to be a complete rewrite, with a lot more features and hopefully a better user experience (I'm not a fan of the current layout system). Chances are it will take quite a while, but I've got a few three-day weekends coming up and my life should be stabilizing soon. So far, I'm going endeavour to support SW: Armada, X-Wing, Rebellion, ST: Attack Wing, Firestorm Armada, Firefly the Boardgame, Twilight Imperium, and a few others, plus my own homebrew systems. As I get closer to finishing this, I'll post more about what to expect, and if there are any changes that will affect content.
