The Phaedra-class Star Destroyer is an experimental Droid TIE carrier ship. The early successes of the Rebellion's snub-fighters forced Imperial weapons development to focus on new anti-starfighter solutions. Influenced heavily by the ancient Lucrehulk-class battleships of the Clone Wars, the Phaedra-class star destroyer is a one-of-a-kind, experimental starship designed to carry and control the Empire's new Mk-1 Droid TIE fighters. Designed and built in secret at the planet Byss, the Phaedra was a test platform for new droid starfighter control technology; greatly influencing later designs such as the Emperor's Eclipse-class Super Star Destroyer.Commentary: The above description is a concoction of my own imagination. This ship was actually concept art for Force Awakens. The 3D-print model pictured was created by Mel's Miniatures. I created this new backstory to work the ship into the Star Wars Legends universe. Hey, look what I made! http://kdyards.com/squadrons.view.php?id=2194I'm surprised that no one did that before. Do you agree with its abilities and stuff? And they can only be activated with because they're droids, and they need instructions.

Yeah, it really should. You should make a TIE droid squadron for Armada.

TheMagicWombat: Thanks! I can't take credit for the design, that's Mel and Ryan. I just really wanted this awesome ship to have a place in Legends.

Wow, that's so cool! I absolutely love the design! And making up backstories for unnamed/undescribed things is one of my favorite things to do... I'm so glad someone else likes to, too!
