Unless Wes Janson is actually the designer for X-wing and Armada?I don't believe in coincidences :)

That is a very eerie coincidence. Unless FFG has looked at your work, which is very very awesome.

Anyone happen to see the Boba Fett crew card coming in the Punishing One expansion? He attacks upgrade cards. Talk about creepy eh?

Well thats it really, you are not forced to lose an upgrade card, its just an option.

When I read it, I too, had an initial reaction of "Are you crazy"? But really, it's on the same level as vanilla Fett's ability. It doesn't work on squadrons for one. The "Lose an upgrade" will only be relevant when a ship is in it's final death spiral, because who is going to be dumb enough to toss an upgrade when you have plenty of shields / hull to soak this. Definitely needs some playtesting, but might not be as bad as I'd originally thought.

Generally I looked at Slave I for several aspects of the cost. The Slave II is weaker in it's own general offensive capabilities as well as lacking bomber. Finally the ability is only usable on ships and lacks the previous squadron damage capability. Anyway, weaker base ship, but with similar role to the original with regards to his special rule gave me a similar cost. I intend to use him as is first before making any major adjustments.

That is an incredibly powerful ability against heavily upgraded starships. What was your costing rationale?

Good point.

You could keep the name as "Boba Fett" this way you can't have the official Boba Fett and this Boba Fett in the same game.
