During the reveal command step of any friendly ship, exhaust this card and spend a token. That ship may now pass on it's activation without counting as activating or revealing a command. Your opponent must then activate another ship.

My revisit to my original Thrawn concept on Shipyards. Playtesting has revealed a bit of mixed results with the original idea and generally described as annoying at best or not worth the points.

Hey Wes,Slightly curious. I read your description about the playtesting. Does this refer to this Thrawn's current ability, or to the original Shipyards version?

I was thinking that as well. With the activation phase about to open up with Flotillas. Thrawn wont feel broken when a player has 6+ activations on average.

I like it, too - I feel like the activation mini game is emergent, and its cool to have a card that plays with that a bit.

I like it! And Wolf Yarlin suddenly becomes Thrawn's best friend!I will find another admiral to put the ship counter ability on.

I posted my initial concept up. What do you think? I tried to reflect Thrawns nature of being always one step ahead of the enemy.

I do like the one idea that someone had in a thread on the FFG forums, but I've tweaked it a bit:When attacking, your spent exhaust the selected token for the remainder of the attacker's activation.

Interesting idea. This has been a character that I have struggled with. I want him to be good, but not too good.

This one has been rolling around in my brain for weeks now, but it could work for Thrawn. After a ship performs a non-counter attack against your ship, you may attack that ship with a battery armament of X blue dice, even if you are destroyed. X is based on size class:Small ship: 1Medium ship: 2Large ship: 3Or X = Command value.
